By submitting this form, I confirm that the information provided is accurate to the best of my

this application stipulated by the Bring Your Own Container (BYOC) initiative.
I am committed to the responsible management and disposal of any waste generated from
my BYOC initiative. I will implement best practices to minimize waste and recycle materials
whenever possible. Any waste that cannot be recycled will be handled and disposed of in a
manner that is both safe and environmentally conscious.
Furthermore, I hereby acknowledge and declare that, as a registered and accredited
participant of the Bring Your Own Container (BYOC) Initiative, I possess the right to initiate
the de-registration and/or withdrawal of my accreditation at my discretion. This decision is
made under the terms and conditions set forth by the BYOC Initiative. To start the deregistration or withdrawal process, I commit to communicating my intent in writing to the
Agency at
[email protected]. Upon submission of this notification, I understand that the
Agency will promptly cease all ongoing registration or recognition processes associated with
my participation. Consequently, my recognition logo, advertisement material, and online
mapping display on the BYOC page at CE Malta’s website will be immediately removed.
In the implementation of the measures abovementioned, economic operators shall refer to
the relative national and European legislation, and therefore, the preparation, processing,
manufacturing, packaging, storing, transportation, distribution, handling, offering for sale and
food supply, shall be carried out having due regard to the rules and obligations of hygiene.
Economic operators, being either catering undertakings or other undertakings operating in
the retail sector, shall comply with the requirements of Annex II of Regulation (EC) 852/2004
on the hygiene of foodstuffs, and subsidiary legislation 449.31.
Moreover, the Agency hereby encourages economic operators participating in this initiative
to have due regard to the provisions of subsidiary legislations 449.46 and 549.146, Regulation
(EC) No 1272/2008 and Regulation (EU) No 1169/2011.
