Regulation 27 of Subsidiary Legislation 549.134, the beverage container refund scheme Regulations, stipulates interalia that:
“Producers shall not be obliged to charge a deposit in the case of beverages released for export.“
Thus, Beverage Container Refund Scheme deposits and, in the case of Producers and Importers, Administration Fees shall not be applicable for beverage containers intended for export.
As the national Authority on behalf of Government vis-à-vis the Scheme, Circular Economy Malta has developed a Registration Form for economic operators to register their export activities with the Agency, together with a standard operating procedure to streamline such process.
