To commemorate October as Breast Cancer Awareness month and as part of its corporate social responsibility, CEMalta officials donated a sum of money to the ‘Action for Breast Cancer Foundation’. This was inaugurated during an away day organised on Friday 29th October by CEMalta at ir-Razzett tal-Għorof.
Breast Cancer Awareness Month comes around every October to spread awareness about the risk of breast cancer. Breast cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer, affecting 1 in 8 women in the world. CEMalta supports the campaigns carried out by the ‘Action for Breast Cancer Foundation’ vis-a-vis breast cancer awareness and the promotion and spreading of awareness regarding quality assured services in the diagnosis and treatment of Breast Cancer in Malta and Gozo, and to encourage women to carry out self-checks often and book a screening if necessary.
